- 95 days. 40-100 lbs These seeds were originally send to me from a giant watermelon purchased at Kejetia market in Ghana. I have grown and adapted it here for 6 years. On average it grows 40-50 lbs in Michigan but can easily get close to 100 lbs. The flesh is pink and absolutely delicious and juicy. Very sweet, notes of bubblegum and cherry. Susceptible to hollow heart b it does not effect eating quality. Can be mitigated with an even watering routine. When dry farmed, most will have hollow hearts. The flavor makes up for it. A very impressive melon.
