- 80 days. Beautiful dark green melons with slightly lighter green striping on highly productive vines. The yellow flesh is crisp, juicy and citrusy sweet. 8-20 lbs, 12-15 lbs on average. Lots of flesh, not a ton of seeds, which are small crunchy and tender if you choose to eat them. Resistant to hollow heart unlike some yellow watermelons. Been a favorite on the farm for years. Bred in Poland and named after Slovak highwayman Janosik, who has been a Robin Hood like symbol in the Slovak, polish, and Hungarian folklore since the 1600s.
