- 80 days. Round 4-10 lb melons have a white flesh that ripens right up to the rind. The white flesh is crisp and sweet with tropical flavors and notes of Asian pear. A favorite, but not a dependable producer. Requires even water routine and short harvest window. Susceptible to splitting. Makes up for it in flavor. An interesting and very enjoyable watermelon. Bred by Takeshi Kanda in Nara Perfecture Japan.
