- 85 days. From a drought resistant class of watermelons with pale green skin and orange flesh. Slightly earlier and larger than Missouri, not quite as sweet, but makes up for it with its thick rind. Giving it excellent storage capabilities a holds on the vines well giving a wider harvest window. The bright orange flesh is still sweet and juicy with a nice texture and superb mellow flavor. Developed in Texas in the 1960s by the Whillhite seed watermelon breeding team.
